Target Details

Cat
Conjugated Peptide
This antiserum was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region near a 30-60 of bacterial chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (CAT). This antibody identifies recombinant CAT as a predominant band of 26 kDa in eukaryotic cells transfected with a plasmid bearing the CAT gene.
This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum, purified and partially purified chloramphenicol acetyl transferase (CAT). Cross reactivity against chloramphenicol acetyl transferase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
