Product Details
10X SDS-PAGE Running Gel Buffer (0.25 M Tris, 1.92 M Glycine, 1.0% SDS pH 8.3) - MB-017
Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide running buffer, Protein Gel Running Buffer, polyacrylamide gel running buffer
Target Details
10X SDS-PAGE Running Buffer consists of 0.25 M Tris HCl, 1.92 M Glycine and 1% (w/v) Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS); pH 8.3. Meticulously prepared using ultra-pure reagents dissolved in highly polished pharmaceutical grade deionized water. Some yellow coloration of the 10X buffer may be observed. A slight coloration does not interfere with the performance of the running buffer.
Application Details
SDS-PAGE
This product is a 10X concentrated stock solution and should be diluted appropriately with distilled, deionized water (or equivalent) to its final working concentration. No pH adjustment is required.
Formulation

Ambient
Store container at room temperature (18° to 26° C) prior to opening. If desired, the solution may be stored at 4° C or less. Some salts may precipitate out of solution at lower temperature. Allow buffer to equilibrate to room temperature (18° to 26° C) to restore solubility of some salts.
Expiration date is six (6) months from date of receipt.
SDS-PAGE, sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, describes a technique widely used in biochemistry to separate proteins according to their electrophoretic mobility (a function of the length of a polypeptide chain and its charge) and no other physical feature. SDS is an anionic detergent applied to protein sample to linearize proteins and to impart a negative charge to linearized proteins. 10X SDS-PAGE Running Buffer is suitable for laboratory involved in protein biochemistry.
