Target Details
Mouse
Native Protein
Anti-Mouse IgM (H&L) was produced by repeated immunization with mouse IgM whole molecule in rabbit.
This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase and anti-Rabbit Serum. This reagent primarily recognizes Mouse IgM however some light chain cross reactivity will occur against other mouse immunoglobulins.
Application Details
Dot Blot, ELISA
This secondary peroxidase conjugated antibody anti-Mouse has been tested by dot blot and ELISA and is ideal for investigators who routinely perform titration assays, western-blot, immunoprecipitation and more generally immunoassays. Mouse IgM (H&L) peroxidase conjugated antibody has been assayed against 1.0 ug of mouse IgM in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:10,000 to 1:40,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

Anti-Mouse IgM (H&L) peroxidase conjugated antibody generated in rabbit detects specifically mouse IgM (H&L). Immunoglobulin M is the largest antibody isotype and the first to be secreted against an initial exposure to antigen. IgM is predominantly produced in the spleen. Formed from covalently linking 5 immunoglobulins together, the approximate molecular weight of IgM is 900kDa and possesses 10 binding sites (though due to the size of most antigens, not all sites are capable of binding at once). Due to this large size, IgM is typically isolated to the serum. Anti-Mouse IgM antibody is ideal for investigators in Immunology, Microbiology, and Cell Biology.
