Recombinant Protein
Target Details
WEE1
Recombinant human WEE1 (amino acids 247-end) was expressed by E. coli cells using an N-terminal Glutathione-S-Transferase fusion protein. The purity was determined to be >75% by densitometry.

Application Details
WEE1 Protein is stored in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 50mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF, 25% glycerol. WEE1 Protein is suitable for use in Western Blot. Expect a band approximately ~110kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
Formulation

See application note.
Shipping & Handling
Dry Ice
Store product at –70°C. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
WEE1 is a nuclear protein, which is a tyrosine kinase belonging to the Ser/Thr family of protein kinases that catalyzes the inhibitory tyrosine phosphorylation of CDC2/cyclin B kinase, and appears to coordinate the transition between DNA replication and mitosis by protecting the nucleus from cytoplasmically activated CDC2 kinase (1). WEE1 is highly expressed in testis. WEE1 kinase phosphorylated the p34 (CDC2) -cyclin B complex on tyr15 and inactivated the p34 (CDC2)-cyclin B kinase (2). WEE1 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins, Cellular Proteins, Cancer, Cell Cycle, and Cytoplasmic Tyrosine Kinases research.
