Rat Tail Type I Collagen Coated 96-Well Multiwell Plate, 5 units per pack - KOA-PMF8

Target Details

Collagen is purified from rat tails via a multi-step process involving chemical soaking, extraction, filtration, and pH treatment. ECM-coated plates are prepared under Laminar Flow Hoods, using sterile technique according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Representative production samples are collected and inspected for current product specifications. Collagen ≥90% purity by SDS-PAGE. Tested for the attribute of cell attachment and growth by utilizing an attachment-dependent human cell line in standard growth medium. Tested and found negative for bacteria and fungi with visual inspection after 14 days of incubated growth media. Surface Area: 0.29 cm2. per well

Application Details

Collagen I coated plates are commonly used in cell culture experiments, particularly for studies involving cells that naturally interact with collagen I in vivo. Collagen I is the most abundant protein in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues and plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, and differentiation. Coating culture plates with collagen I provides a biomimetic environment that supports cell attachment and spreading, mimicking the physiological conditions that cells experience in vivo.
