Application Details

PDHA1 Protein is stored in 50mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.0, 300mM NaCl, 150mM imidazole, 0.1mM PMSF, 0.25mM DTT, 25% glycerol. PDHA1 Protein is suitable for use in Western Blot and Kinase Assay. Expect a band approximately ~47kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

Formulation

0.2 µg/µL
See application note.

Shipping & Handling

Dry Ice
Store product at –70°C. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
PDHA1 pyruvate dehydrogenase (lipoamide) alpha 1 is a member of the pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) complex. PDHA1 is a nuclear-encoded mitochondrial multienzyme complex which catalyzes the overall conversion of pyruvate to acetyl-CoA and CO (2), and provides the primary link between glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle . PDHA1 plays a critical role in the brain that usually obtains all of its energy from the aerobic oxidation of glucose (1). Mutations in the PDHA1 are associated with pyruvate dehydrogenase E1-alpha deficiency and X-linked Leigh syndrome (2). PDHA1 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Reagents, Protein Substrates, Apoptosis/Autophagy, Inflammation, Metabolic Disorder, and Ser/Thr Kinases research.
