Rat
Conjugated Peptide
Anti-Rab 3 Antibody was produced in rabbit by repeated immunizations with synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues from the N-terminal region conjugated to KLH.
Anti-Rab 3 antibodies was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. This antibody is directed against rat Rab3 proteins. Cross reactivity with Rab 3 from other species has not been determined, however, the sequence of the immunogen shows 100% identity to human, mouse, Xenopus and non-human primates, therefore cross reactivity is expected.
P63012 - UniProtKB
NP_037150.2 - NCBI Protein

Application Details

WB
Anti-Rab 3 (Rabbit) antibody is tested for use in Western Blots. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band of approximately 27 kDa in size corresponding to Rab3 protein in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

Rab 3 Antibody detects Rab 3 which belongs to the Ras small GTPase superfamily. The GTP-binding Rab3 subfamily has 4 known isoforms: 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D. These proteins are expressed in highest concentrations in brain and endocrine tissues and involved in regulated exocytosis of hormones and neurotransmitters. Specifically, Rab3’s are thought to play a key role in presynaptic vesicle trafficking and priming.
