Conjugated Peptide
Anti-ORC2 Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunization with human ORC2 (origin recognition complex, subunit 2), using two recombinant proteins containing the N-terminal and C-terminal part of the protein, respectively.
Anti-ORC2 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. Cross-reactivity with ORC2 from other sources has not been determined.
Application Details
WB
Anti-ORC2 Antibody is tested for Western Blots. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 66kDa in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

ORC2 is one of the six subunits of the ORC (origin recognition complex) that binds origins of replication. The binding of ORC to DNA is ATP-dependent, but so far, specific DNA sequences that define origins of replication have not been identified. The ORC is required to assemble the pre-replication complex necessary to initiate DNA replication. The ORC is regulated in a cell cycle-dependent manner. It is assembled at the end of the anaphase of mitosis and disassembled when cells enter the S phase. Anti-ORC2 Antibody is ideal for research in DNA Replication, Cell Cycle Control and Cancer.
