Recombinant Protein
NR2B Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations raised against a fusion protein corresponding near the extracellular N-terminus region of rat NR2B.
Anti-NR2B Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with NR2B from human, mouse, and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. No cross-reactivity against NR2A. Cross-reactivity with NR2B from other sources has not been determined. Ion Channels research.

NR2B containing receptors have been implicated in synaptic plasticity, memory formation and pain modulation. Studies suggest that the NR2B subunit of glutamate receptors may be potential targets for relieving pain; NR2B may be a probable target for anti-nociceptive drugs, and may also be useful as analgesics.
