Conjugated Peptide
Lamin B1 affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminal of human Lamin B1.
Anti-Lamin B1 antibody is directed against human Lamin B1 protein. The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from human and rat based on homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity with Lamin B1 from other sources has not been determined.
Application Details
IHC, WB
Anti-Lamin B1 is tested for Immunohistochemistry-P, -F, Immunocytochemistry, and Western Blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately ~66.4 kDa corresponding to the appropriate cell lysate or extract. WB tested in Human, Mouse, Rat, IHC-P (heat) and IHC-F in human and rat, ICC in human, and ICC/IF in human.

Lamin-B1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the LMNB1 gene. The nuclear lamina consists of a two-dimensional matrix of proteins located next to the inner nuclear membrane. The lamin family of proteins make up the matrix and are highly conserved in evolution. During mitosis, the lamina matrix is reversibly disassembled as the lamin proteins are phosphorylated. Lamin proteins are thought to be involved in nuclear stability, chromatin structure and gene expression. Vertebrate lamins consist of two types, A and B. This gene encodes one of the two B type proteins, B1. This antibody is suitable for researchers interested in chromatin antibody research.
