Anti-FREM2 antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a 19 amino acid synthetic peptide near the internal region of human FREM2.
Anti-FREM2 Antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography. Cross reactivity with FREM2 from other sources has not been determined.

Anti-FREM2 Antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at approximately 351 kDa in Western Blots of specific cell lysates and tissues.

Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
FREM2 is a member of the FRAS1-related extracellular matrix protein family and like FREM1, mutations in the FREM2 gene are associated with Fraser syndrome. FREM2 localizes to the basement membrane, forming a ternary complex that plays a role in epidermal-dermal interactions during morphogenetic processes and is thought to be required for maintaining the integrity of the skin epithelium and the differentiated state of renal epithelia. The FREM2 gene is one of several genes whose transcription is affected by TFAP2C, a transcription factor involved in mammary development, differentiation, and oncogenesis.
