Anti-FIH (MOUSE) Monoclonal Antibody - 209-301-F27
mouse anti-FIH Antibody, mouse anti-Factor inhibiting HIF1 antibody, Factor inhibiting HIF1 (hypoxia-inducible factor)
Mouse
Monoclonal
IgG1
Target Details
H. sapiens (Human)
Recombinant Protein
FIH Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations with full length human FIH expressed in E.coli BL21 (DE3) cells.
Anti-FIH Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. This monoclonal antibody is specific for human FIH protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with FIH from human based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with FIH from other sources has not been determined. Oxidative Stress/ Cell Signaling research.
Application Details
IHC, WB
Anti-FIH Antibody is tested for use in WB and IHC (Paraffin embedded). Expect a band approximately ~45kDa corresponding to specific lysates. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

FIH, Factor inhibiting HIF1 (hypoxia-inducible factor), is an asparaginyl hydroxylase. FIH in conjunction with VHL represses HIF-1 transcriptional activity by disrupting the interaction of HIF-1 with the transcriptional coactivators CBP/p300, and by recruiting histone deacetylases. FIH activity is inhibited during hypoxia. Recent studies show that low nuclear expression of FIH is a strong independent prognostic factor for a poor overall survival in clear cell renal cell cancinoma.
