Recombinant Protein
Anti-DOPA Decarboxylase Antibody was produced in rabbit by repeated immunizations with purified from inclusion bodies and SDS denatured recombinant bovine aromatic DOPA decarboxylase expressed in E. coli.
Anti-DOPA Decarboxylase antibody is directed against DOPA Decarboxylase. Anti-DOPA Decarboxylase antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. Anti-DOPA Decarboxylase antibody recognizes DOPA Decarboxylase from rat sources. Cross reactivity bovine expect, reactivity with DOPA Decarboxylase from other species has not been determined.

DOPA Decarboxylase Antibody detects DOPA decarboxylase (aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase, AADC; DDC) which catalyzes the second reaction in the biosynthesis of catecholamines and serotonin. It is also involved in the biosynthesis of trace amines. DDC antibodies can therefore be used as markers for dopaminergic, noradrenergic and serotonergic neurons in a variety of applications including depression, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease and drug abuse. Anti-DOPA Decarboxylase Antibody is ideal for investigators involved in neurological disorders and, more generally in Neuroscience.
