Human, Mouse, Rat
Conjugated Peptide
Anti-DEPTOR antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a 16 amino acid peptide near the internal region of human DEPTOR.
Anti-DEPTOR antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography. DEPTOR antibody is human, mouse and rat reactive. At least three isoforms of DEPTOR are known to exist; this antibody will detect all three isoforms.

Application Details

ELISA, IHC, WB
Anti-DEPTOR Antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, Western Blotting, and Immunohistochemistry. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at approximately 46 kDa in Western Blots of specific cell lysates and tissues.

DEPTOR is an mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin)-interacting protein whose expression is negatively regulated by mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1) and mTORC2 (1). Loss of DEPTOR activates RP6SK1, Akt1, and SGK1, promotes cell growth and survival, and activates mTORC1 and mTORC2 kinase activities. DEPTOR expression is low in most cancers, but is often elevated in multiple myelomas (1). In response to stimulation by mitogens, DEPTOR is rapidly phosphorylated leading to its ubiquitination and degradation, allowing mTOR to generate an auto-amplification loop to promotes its own full activation (2).
