Rat
Conjugated Peptide
Anti-DARPP-32 Antibody was produced in rabbit by repeated immunizations with synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues from the N-terminal region conjugated to KLH.
Anti-DARPP-32 antibody is directed against DARPP-32. Anti-DARPP-32 antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. Anti-DARPP-32 antibody recognizes DARPP-32 from rat sources. Cross reactivity with DARPP-32 from other species has not been determined. However, reactivity is also expected from the following species based on 100% sequence homology: bovine, canine, chicken, human, mouse, non-human primate, Xenopus.
Q6J4I0 - UniProtKB
Application Details
IHC, WB
Anti-DARPP-32 (Rabbit) Antibody is tested for use in ELISA, Western Blotting and IHC. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band of approximately 32 kDa in size corresponding to DARPP 32 protein in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

DARPP-32 Antibody detects DARPP-32 which is a dopamine (DA) and cAMP-regulated ~32k phosphoprotein that is associated with dopaminoceptive neurons. The protein inhibits protein phosphatase I when it is phosphorylated on Thr34. In contrast, when DARPP-32 is phosphorylated on Thr75 the protein acts as an inhibitor of PKA. Phosphorylation of DARPP-32 is thought to play a critical role in the regulation of dopaminergic neurotransmission. In addition, the activity of DARPP-32 is also thought to play important roles in the actions of alcohol, caffeine and Prozac®. Anti-DARPP-32 Antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Neuroscience and Cell Signaling Research.
