Conjugated Peptide
Cav beta 2 Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region of rat CavBeta2.
Anti-Cav Beta2 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Cav Beta2 from human, mouse, and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. No cross reactivity against Cavβ1, Cavβ3, Cavβ4. Cross-reactivity with Cav Beta2 from other sources has not been determined. Ion Channels research.

NP_446303 - NCBI Protein

Application Details

IF, IHC, IP, WB
Anti-CAV BETA2 Antibody has been tested in WB, IF, IHC and IP. Expect a band approximately ~78kDa on specific lysates. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

Cav Beta subunits are involved in the transport of the pore forming alpha1 subunit to the plasma membrane. They also shield an ER Retention signal on the alpha1 subunit, thereby guiding the pore-forming subunit to the target membrane. They also determine the biophysical properties of the calcium channel.
