Adenosine Deaminase [Calf Spleen]
ADA
Adenosine deaminase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Adenosine Deaminase [Calf Spleen]. Cross reactivity against Adenosine Deaminase from other sources is unknown.
Application Details
ELISA, WB
Anti-Adenosine deaminase Peroxidase antibody has been tested by ELISA and western blot and is assayed against 1.0 ug of Adenosine Deaminase [Calf Spleen] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:20,000 to 1:100,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

Adenosine deaminase (adenosine aminhydrolase, or ADA) is an enzyme involved in purine metabolism. It is needed for the breakdown of adenosine from food and for the turnover of nucleic acids in tissues. ADA irreversibly deaminates adenosine, converting it to the related nucleoside inosine by the substitution of the amino group for a hydroxyl group. ADA irreversibly deaminates adenosine, converting it to the related nucleoside inosine by the substitution of the amino group for a hydroxyl group. Inosine can then be deribosylated by another enzyme called purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP), converting it to hypoxanthine.
